CHILLAX
If the brand name didn’t give you a hint, Chillax is about clothes that make you feel at ease. Founders Figen Ceken Bayraktar and Gwvenc Bayraktar started their family business with the aspiration to offer garments that accompany women seamlessly and comfortably in their everyday lives—at the office and out with friends. Albeit cozy, Chillax presents timeless pieces that keep you polished from day to night. Another important pillar for the Bayraktars is sustainability—they prioritize sourcing of deadstock natural fabrics and uphold ethical production practices, like working with local Turkish artisans and offering limited-edition capsules.
SIGNIFICANT OTHER
The ultimate beach-to-bar label, Significant Other draws on its Australian roots for looks that evoke a sense of summer and nomadic nostalgia. Their design philosophy revolves around creating garments that feel equal parts as luxurious as they do effortless. With special attention to body contouring and fit, Significant Other makes use of draping techniques and textural jersey to sculpt and flatter the female form. Dressy enough for sunset cocktails, yet relaxed enough for running errands, Significant Other proposes a wear-anywhere attitude.
ÚNA HAYDE
Independent designer Úna Hayde draws inspiration from the female form, vintage lingerie, and contrasting beauty and color from natural landscapes like the Irish Atlantic coast. Based between London and Barcelona, Hayde’s collections feature innerwear pieces designed to be taken out—think camisoles and slip dresses with sophisticated details. Founded in 2021, Úna Hayde fosters mindful consumption, using certified recycled materials sourced responsibly in Italy with local production in Barcelona.
MAGUIRE
Canadian footwear brand Maguire offers the best of both worlds—designer quality and affordability. The independent, direct-to-consumer fashion footwear company was founded in 2017 by sisters Myriam and Romy Maguire with the intention of making high-quality shoes accessible to more people. Their designs are comfortable and on-trend, yet timeless. The Maguires have been featured in Forbes, WWD, Elle, and Bazaar, and won the Emerging Talent Award for Accessories at the Canadian Fashion Awards in 2022.
BELLEROSE
Cult Belgian brand Bellerose was founded in 1989 by Patrick Van Heurck. In the late ’80s, Patrick was a budding menswear designer and an adventurous traveler, particularly enamored with the United States. On one of his trips, he found himself in Bellerose, a small village on New York’s Long Island. That’s when it clicked—the name was perfect for his own brand. Passionate for all things Americana, Van Heurck draws on the rich history of the United States’ garment production and craftsmanship in his designs, mixing these elements with fashion details, like sequins, for an effortlessly cool and modern look.
